Tamera Moorhead

2007 Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska

Tamera Moorhead

Tamera Moorhead, the 16 year old daughter of Ron and Kathy Moorhead of Ogallala, recently assumed the reign of Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska 2007. She will be a sophomore at Ogallala High School where she participates in mock trial, speech, basketball, and participates in one of the few high school rifle corps in the state of Nebraska. Tamera is also a member of the National Little Britches Rodeo Association and has qualified for their national finals the last 7 years, competing in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying and trail.

Tamera won the position of first runner-up as well as the appearance division of the competition.

Being Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska would give her the ability to ensure the continuance of rodeo in America. Tamera states, “I would do this through educating the public by speaking engagements at schools, community organizations, and elder care facilities. She looks forward to promoting the state she was born and raised in and the rich western lifestyle it provides.

Lena Swanson, who was crowned Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska 2007 in June, relinquished her title due to personal reasons.
