Lil’ Cowgirls

Lil’ Cowgirls

The Lil’ Cowgirls are rodeo queens in training. The girls range in age from 6-11. They participate in a clinic every spring at North Platte Community College where they learn the tips, tricks and skills they will need to one day compete in a pageant.

This year’s clinic is scheduled for 12:30-5:30 p.m. May 6. Clinic participants will practice public speaking and modeling, learn a dance and a patriotic song, have fun with photography, complete a craft project, receive an official Lil’ Cowgirls t-shirt and make lifelong friends!

The Lil’ Cowgirls are also an integral part of the Miss Rodeo Nebraska/Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska Pageant. They sell bottled water at the horsemanship competition, sing at the horsemanship BBQ, dance at the style show, participate in the Kiddie Parade, appear at the Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska coronation and ride in a horse-drawn wagon in the NEBRASKAland Days Parade.
