“Rope Your Dreams”

Laramie Schlichtemeier served as Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2017.

The Ogallala woman considers herself blessed to have grown up in a family that enjoys rodeo, agriculture and the great outdoors. She loves anything that has to do with horses, hunting, fishing or any other adventure her home state offers.

Laramie graduated from Chadron State College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and options in Agri-Business and Marketing.

She plans to use her degree to pursue a career that will have a positive impact on farmers, ranchers and others who have chosen what she believes to be one of the most important career fields in the world – agriculture.

Laramie wants to help expand and further develop the dynamic and crucial industry for future generations.

With her queen title, Laramie visited schools across the state promoting her platform, “BAM” (Banning Alcohol for Minors) and her slogan, “Rope Your Dreams.”

Laramie hopes her influence will encourage youth to make good decisions and will encourage the pursuit of dreams – no matter how big they may seem. (Photo courtesy of MaKenzi’s Photography)
