“Ride for the Brand!”

If you believe in God, yourself, and your abilities, you can achieve anything! Is the motto of Amy Amack, Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2009. On June 18th, 2008 Amy was crowned among family and friends during Nebraska’s Official State Celebration, NEBRASKAland Days in North Platte! She won personality, speech, written test, photogenics, appearance and the coveted horsemanship award.

Amy is a Nebraska cowgirl through and through, raised on a ranch nestled among the pine ridges of Northwestern Nebraska. She is proud to call Chadron home sweet home! Amy is the 24 year old daughter of Ron and Althea Amack.

When not working on the ranch you can find Amy helping with the animals at the Chadron Veterinary Clinic, teaching kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Chadron, or finishing deer mounts in her father’s taxidermy shop. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends, her horse Special, and her Jack Russell Terriers. Amy finds scrapbooking, dancing, cooking, and traveling irresistible!

Amy graduated from Chadron State College in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an Agri-business option. When her reign comes to an end she hopes to work in public relations in agriculture.

Nebraska is the land of opportunity. Through the good times and the sad times Nebraskan’s pull together. I felt this first hand after the loss of my Mother to a three and a half year battle with cancer just weeks prior to competition. It was believing in God, myself, and my abilities that helped me achieve my goal of Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2009.

Amy feels honored to be given the opportunity to promote this way of life and her love… the sport of rodeo! She could not be more proud to represent her community, her state, and this nation as Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2009!
